Leadership Development - ELC

The Emerging Leader class is open to students of all levels, and is designed to help them understand their abilities as a leader and follower in academic, co-curricular, and personal endeavors. It is a three-credit course that fills course requirements in Agriculture Leadership Education (ALEC 327) and Educational Psychology Departments (EDPS 327).

The class is offered on Tuesday evenings from 4:00 P.M. -- 6:50 P.M. on city campus.

If you are selected to join the Emerging Leader class, you will receive the course registration information needed to register for the class through the eNroll system. The deadline for applications is Friday, April 18.

To apply for the Emerging Leader Class, attach a Microsoft Word file* responding to the two following statements. Your response should not exceed more than two pages. (You may also choose to drop off your printed response at the Student Involvement office at 200 Nebraska Union or 300 East Union.)

  • Select and defend what you feel are the three essential leadership skills.
  • Define followership and how you have been a leader.
