The Experience
So you're wondering what the LeaderShape Institute is all about?
LeaderShape consists of six fun and fully-packed days of hands on, interactive experiences where you learn about yourself and the idea of leadership. Each day activities will start at 8 am and end around 10 pm - yes, we mean fully packed. This is a get-down-and-dirty, interactive experience in a casual and supportive setting. You'll make lasting friendships with other UNL students and gain a greater understanding of who you are and where you're going-guaranteed.
During the Week You Will:
- Learn about your own leadership style and skills.
- Work together on the outdoor challenge course.
- Spend an evening visiting with and learning from experienced leaders from the Lincoln community.
- Get to know others and work closely with a core group of eight to ten other UNL students.
- Discover what you're passionate about, and then based on this, develop a plan of action to improve the world around you.
- Have free time to chill out with your new friends and enjoy the gorgeous surroundings of Camp Carol Joy Holling.
What will you get from participating in LeaderShape? You'll walk away with more than we can describe here in words. But below are some of the things you'll take away from the experience.
