List of Gender-Neutral Rest Rooms on Campus

LGBTQA Programs, Services and Resource Center:  Located in Student Involvement, the Assistant Director for LGBTQA Programs & Services provides a “safe space” for GLBTA students, provides relevant resources & referrals, delivers educational “Safe Space” and ALLY workshops, and coordinates OutSpeaking for the university community; supports & provides follow-up services to those who have experienced discrimination/harassment based on sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. LGBTQ Resource Center: Opened in Fall 2007, the LGBTQRC is located in the Nebraska Union Room 342 (next to the Women’s Center) and houses a library, coordinates campus and community referrals, and provide volunteer opportunities for students, staff and faculty interested in LGBTQ issues. Queer Student Alliance:  The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Ally Student Organization:  Located in NU 234 in the UNL City Campus Union, QSA is a recognized student organization with an office staffed by student volunteers.  The office provides a safe, informal gathering space, information concerning campus and community services and events.  QSA meets regularly and provides programming.  For more info call 472-5644 or visit the website.

UNL Committee on Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Concerns:  Faculty, staff, students, & alumni working to ensure UNL meets its goal of administering all its educational and employment programs and support services in a manner which does not discriminate against a person based upon their sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.  Meets bi-weekly throughout the academic year.  For more information visit the website.

PERSUNL (Peers Encouraging Responsible Sexuality at UNL):  Trained Peer Sexuality Educators are the outreach component of the Sexuality Education Program, which is part of the University Health Center Health Education Department.  PERSUNL provides comprehensive and inclusive information about sexuality and sexual health through presentations, programming and student involvement opportunities.  Trained PSEs also staff the HIV antibody test site.  For information, love safely packets, or to schedule a presentation stop by room 12 (lower level) of the University Health Center or call 472-7440 or visit the website.

The Women’s Center:  Located at 340 Nebraska Union, the Center’s goal is to assist women with a successful, positive college experience and offers programs to enhance the experience for women.  For more information call 472-2597 or visit the website.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP): EAP services are available to faculty, staff, and their domestic partners living in the same household. EAP is located at 700 N. 16th St., 472-3107; 1-800-755-2655 (outside of Lincoln).
