October is LGBTQA History Month
- October 9: Marty Klein – Informal gathering, discussion and reception, 5 pm
- October 9: Public Presentation by Marty Klein at 7 or 7:30 pm
- October 18: An Evening of Love, Rage & Hope (60 years of Human Rights), The Loft at the Mill (18th and P, Lincoln NE)
- Free admission!
- Family oriented
- Refreshments
- Doors open at 7:00 p.m., reading of 30 articles at 7:30 p.m., followed by a performance of Elena Dodd's one woman show, Meet Eleanor Roosevelt
- Advocate for Universal Human Rights followed by presentation of youthproduced videos focusing on the 30 Articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
- Participating organizations: UNA, NFP, Angels Theatre Company, Amnesty International, NCFP, ACLU, Prairie Peace Park, UNL's LGBTQA Program, Services and Resource Center
- October 29: LGBTQA History Month Dinner at the Lied Center for the Performing Arts with Dorothy Allison, keynote speaker; co-sponsored by CGLBTC and LGBTQ/Sexuality Studies
- October 30: Dorothy Allison, public presentation
