Consortium Member Biography
KIMBERLY GRAVIETTE, HASTINGS COLLEGE
Kimberly Graviette has been the Director of Career Services at Hastings College since July of 1990. In 1997, she was appointed Hastings College’s representative to the then Nebraska Consortium for Service-Learning, adding service-learning to her career development responsibilities. During her tenure with the Consortium, Kimberly has partnered with colleagues involved in the Teacher to Teacher program, hosted two service-learning interns, aided with integrating a service-learning project into Hastings College’s new student orientation, and developed community service events on campus, including volunteer/community service and non-profit career fairs and a Martin Luther King Jr. Day service project. As a member of the student services subcommittee for the college’s strategic plan, she encouraged staffing a professional at Hastings College to champion service-learning. In 2003, Jean Heriot joined the college in its Vocation and Values Program as the Associate Director for Vocational Discernment and Service-Learning. Jean and Kimberly work together in the spirit of service, with Kimberly directing attention to community service and Jean to service learning. Previously Kimberly was an Assistant Director of Admissions at Hastings College and a Coordinator for Cooperative Education at a community college in Kansas.
